On May 26, Chinese Consul General in San Francisco Zhang Jianmin gave a one-on-one interview to ABC7 on China-US summit and subnational cooperation.

Consul General Zhang noted that the two presidents have both emphasized the importance of people-to-people exchanges in China-US relations. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie was also committed to facilitating cultural cooperation during his visit to Shanghai. The Consulate General will continue to build bridges for subnational exchanges between China and the United States, and encourage people from all sectors in the consular district to actively support the development of China-US relations, for the benefit of both countries and the wider world.
