On September 1, 2011, Director-General of the Department of Latin American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Yang Wanming and Director for Latin America of the Russian Foreign Ministry Yuri P. Korchaguin held the 7^th departmental-level consultation on Latin American affairs between the two Foreign Ministries in Beijing. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on the current situation in Latin America, the two countries' respective relations with Latin American nations and other issues.
