On December 12, 2006, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei and Pakistani Ambassador to China Salman Bashir exchanged the Instruments of Approval of the Cooperation Agreement between the People's Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Combating Terrorism, Separatism and Extremism, which was signed on April 5, 2005 and signed the Certificate of Exchange. According to Article 18 of the Agreement, the Agreement comes into effect on the date of the exchange of the instruments of approval, which is December 12, 2006.
