On January 20, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing called Chinese ambassador Yang Honglin to Iraq and once more conveyed the care of the Chinese leaders to the Chinese hostages in Iraq. He requires the ambassador and his colleagues in the embassy to make every effort, with the help of the Iraqi friends in all sectors, to rescue the hostages at the earliest date possible.
