On February 25 2004, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with the delegation of the Atlantic Council of the United States headed by Mr. Kramer. Li Zhaoxing briefed the guests on China's foreign policies.

Mr. Kramer and other members of the delegation expressed their support for the stance taken by President Bush on the situations of Taiwan on December 9, 2003 and for the US government's adherence to the "one-China" policy. They also expected the on-going second round of six-party talks on the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula to bear positive results.
