From December 4 to 5, Chinese Consul General in San Francisco Zhang Jianmin,  accompanied by his wife Zheng Xin, visited the State of Washington. During the visit, Consul General Zhang attended the reception commemorating the 40th anniversary of sister city relationship between Chongqing and Seattle at the Seattle Chinese Garden. He also met with Mayor Lynn Robinson and the city council members of Bellevue. In addition, Consul General Zhang had discussions with representatives of Microsoft and Boeing.

Consul General Zhang highlighted the significant outcomes of the San Francisco summit meeting between the Chinese and American Presidents. He encouraged friends from all walks of life in Washington State to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China and further contribute to the healthy, stable and sustainable growth of China-U.S. relations.
