Reception Held in honor of 2019 Merolini and Adler Fellows

On the evening of August 7, Consul General Wang Donghua of the People's Republic of China to San Francisco and his wife Liu Bin held a reception at their residence for 2019 Merolini, Adler Fellows of the Merola Opera Program of San Francisco Opera House. Among the 70 people attended the reception are Ms Jean Kellogg, Executive Director and board members of Merola Opera Program, Mr. Ren Faqiang, Deputy Consul General and 29 Merolini and Adler Fellows from 6 countries.

Ms. Jean Kellogg, Executive Director of Merola Opera Program gave a speech.
Ms.He Xiaopei, Director of the San Francisco Huaxing Art Troupe gave a brief introduction about the Chinese Beijing Opera and the Sichuan Opera, and Mr. Ju Yong, Ms. Xing Hongmei sang several well known arias from Beijing Opera while Mr. Zhan Jiandong showcased the art of Changing-Face. Their excellent performances won warm applause from the guests.
