At the invitation of Prime Minister George Papandreou of the Hellenic Republic, Prime Minister Yves Leterme of the Kingdom of Belgium, Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi of the Republic of Italy and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkey, Premier Wen Jiabao will pay official visits to the four countries from October 2 to 9.

At the joint invitation of President Herman Van Rompuy of the European Council, Prime Minister Yves Leterme of the Kingdom of Belgium and President Jose Manuel Barroso of the European Commission, and as agreed by China and the European Union (EU), Premier Wen will also attend the 8th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) and the 13th China- EU Summit from October 4 to 6.
