Consul General Gao Zhansheng Hosted Reception marking the 63rd Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China

On September 21, 2012, the first reception marking the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China hosted by Consul General and Mrs. Gao Zhansheng was held at the Chinese Consulate-General in San Francisco. Deputy Consuls General Song Ruan, Yi Xianrong and Bi Gang were also present. About 600 overseas Chinese and Chinese students from the Bay Area attended the reception. 

Consul General Gao introduced the remarkable achievements made by the Chinese people during the past 63 years,illustrated the new progress of the cross-Straits relations and China-U.S. relations. He expressed appreciation to the overseas Chinese and Chinese students in the Bay Area, for their tremendous contributions in above-mentioned fields. He also encouraged them to work hard continually for the stable development of China-U.S. relations, the reunification of China and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. 

Union City Mayor Mark Green, Sunnyvale Mayor Anthony Spitaleri also addressed the reception and extended their greetings to the Chinese National Day.
